Intellectual Property Rights

The Mongolian Government ensures protection for intellectual property. Copyright Law, Patent Law, Trademark Law are in place. The Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia and intellectual property protection state inspectors are responsible for protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Mongolia became a member of the World Intellectual Property Organization in 1979 and joined to eleven International Conventions on intellectual property rights, including the Berne Convention on Copyright, Paris Convention on Protection of Industrial Property and Madrid Agreement on International Registration of Trademarks.
